We love the ladies of Salvatore Bklyn and their unctuous, creamy, fresh ricotta. This is no curdy cheese – it is smooth as silk. Slathered on a crusty baguette with a drizzle of honey or olive oil with cracked black pepper optional, it may be the perfect simple snack.
They just added a smoked version which we carry and that Julie Powell, author of “Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen” (coming soon to a theater near you with Meryl Streep as Julia!) recently said “blew my mind.” If it can do that to a cookbook author, what will it do to you?
Join us tonight at Provisions from 4pm-7pm as Rachel and Betsy, the founders and cheesemakers of Salvatore Bklyn offer free tastes. They’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have about serving suggestions and fabrication. Enjoy!
