FREE COOKIES!

Shira Berk, of TriBeCa’s esteemed and estimable Goodie Girl Bakery, will be at Provisions today at 4pm to sample from her arsenal of her jaw-droppingly delicious cookies. There’s no understanding someone who denies a free cookie, gluten-free or not, but be advised that hers are especially good; crispy, meticulously flavored (this number has flecks of cereal in its dough) and perfect for dipping into a cup of coffee.

Security personnel will be at the ready to catch customers fainting from their deliciousness. See you then!

Easter Baskets!

We had the coffee bar folks at Provisions put together their ideal Easter Basket and the results are just what we’d want to wake up to on an Easter morning:  Vosges Peanut Butter & Himalayan Sea Salt Flop-eared Bunnies, Vosges Wink of the Rabbit Deep Milk Chocolate, Caramel Pecan Eggs, Marich Green Beans Jelly Beans, Counter Culture Papua New Guinea Baroida Coffee, Lark Salted Rosemary Shortbread Cookies, Cacao Prieto Single Origin Raisin & Hazelnut Chocolate, La Cacica Local Honey, Anarchy In A Jar Easy Like Sunday Morning Preserves and Salty Road Salty Caramel Apple Salt Water Taffy.

Our gift baskets come in a reusable planter and include a packet of seeds so that the gift recipient can enjoy a garden long after the goodies are gone!

Take Home Some Grady’s Cold Brew

Despite the mild winter we know that a lot of our customers like their iced coffee year-round, so does a good number of our staff.  We would never dissuade you from coming in and grabbing some Stumptown or Blue Bottle cold brew, but sometimes us coffee fiends need a fix and don’t have a chance to get to our caffeine dealer.  Luckily there is Grady’s Cold Brew a Williamsburg based company that brews and bottles cold brew concentrate that you can keep handy in case of caffeine emergencies.  Grady’s is a New Orleans style blend that comes in a 32oz glass bottle and makes 8 cups of coffee, iced or hot.  The formula is pretty straightforward, add equal parts Grady’s Cold Brew and water or milk over ice and you are ready to go.  Come grab a bottle of Grady’s from our beverage case.

We’re Bubbling Over

For the next 2 days in celebration of Valentine’s we’ll be opening some sparkling wines.  From 6-8pm today, you can sample Gruet Brut Rose NV ($17.50), a sparkling pink wine from New Mexico but made in the true champagne tradition using secondary fermentation.  From 6-8pm tomorrow, try Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Brut NV ($55), the french champagne that was chosen as the Best of Tasting in the NY Times round up of champagnes.

The Annex and Provisions have tons of treats at every price point for Valentine’s.  From butter cookie conversation hearts at Annex to Lobsters and oysters (special order by 4:30pm tonight!) at Provisions and cheese to accompany champagne at Fort Cheese, you’ll find everything you need to celebrate.
