We’re excited to announce the Jeni’s Sweet Treats Truck Tour of NYC! For frequent patrons of our frozen section, Jeni’s Ice Cream is a familiar name. Their super-premium ice cream comes in some wild flavors (how does dried cherry goat cheese sound?), and you’ll have a chance to sample these frosty delights right in front of Greene Grape Provisions! On Thursday 9/13/12 between 6-8pm we’ll be hosting the Jeni’s truck where free scoops will be given liberally to the locals. Toast To An Old Friend
When was the last time you ran into an old friend you’d not seen for a few years? It can be incredible, like you never missed a day. We’re feeling that way as we re-introduce an old staple in our frozen section – Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream. Some of our long-time customers may recognize the effervescent flavors like White Zinfandel and Raspberry Chardonnay, and anyone looking for a rich mouthful should try the Cherry Merlot and Chocolate Cabernet varieties. Rather than artificial flavors, this ice cream is infused with real wine, thus the resulting pints boast about 5% alcohol by volume (a nice adults-only late night snack). So the next time you’re entertaining old friends (or new ones for that matter) toast to dessert with this boozy treat!

Everyone’s favorite gourmet ice cream will be scooping samples here at Greene Grape Provisions! Join us this Friday 6/29 as Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream scoops seasonal flavors of their decadent frozen desserts. If you’ve ever wandered by our frozen case and wondered why Jeni’s pints are so pricey, here’s your chance to taste the Pink Grapefruit Frozen Yogurt, Whiskey & Pecan Ice Cream and other off-the-wall culinary creations. They’ll be here from 2-4pm, so save some room at lunch for a bit of dessert on us!

We know how much our customers love the rich baked goods in our pastry case – with varieties of cookies from Baked, Butter+Love and Ovenly alongside individual Nunu’s chocolates and cupcakes made at our own Greene Grape Annex across the street, who wouldn’t find something to snack on? Still, there are many of us who’d prefer something straight from their own oven. If this is you, look no further than our dairy case as we now feature Lisa & Amy’s Cookie Dough! Made right here in Brooklyn with the finest of natural ingredients and no preservatives, it tastes homemade because it IS homemade. Don’t believe us? Come through Provisions this Saturday 6/23 from 2-5pm to meet the creators of Lisa & Amy’s as they sample their decadent dough in flavors like “Hunka Hunka Chocolate Chunk” and ”Shawangunkie Chunkie.” They make ‘em, you bake ‘em, everybody wins!
